AVS Disc Creator can help you compile and burn your own discs. Moreover, it allows performing other operations, such as erasing rewritable discs, making copies and editing covers.

The program’s interface makes it really easy to use, mainly because it is quite similar to those of akin software.

The tool supports multiple types of discs and formats, including CD, DVD, and Blu-ray. It can create data discs, audio and MP3 CDs and DVD video. Likewise, it can create ISO images of a disc or HDD. In this respect, it is good that the tool supports a wide range of image file formats, including Nero, Alcohol 120%, and some others. Another convenient feature is the possibility of creating boot discs, which can be used to rescue computers and install software.

In general, AVS Disc Creator does exactly what its developers claim. Unluckily, it does not have as many features as other similar tools. For me, it was a big limitation that it did not work properly on a machine that did not have a burner. Just think that you may want to create a disc image only, with the intention of mounting it on a virtual drive or burning it later on another computer. Finally, if you do not mind this shortcoming, you should know that the program can be tried at no cost.

Pros

  • Supports multiple types of disc formats
  • Creates various types of discs
  • Creates ISO images
  • Supports various image file types
  • Creates disc covers
  • Creates boot discs

Cons

  • Cannot work properly when a burner is not present
  • Less features than other similar tools
